Host Hotel

The host hotel functions as the hub of the entire event.

Competitors arrive early, spending time to add the finishing touches to their Challenge machines right in the parking lot. Friendly conversations and various grilled goodies can also be had during this time.

Camping

More interested in camping? Trackside camping is now available at the $2000 Challenge. Drivers, spectators and crew may camp at the event. Purchase camping passes at the $2000 Challenge registration site.

Camping move-in and move-out times will be posted on the event schedule here. If you’re checking in for camping on Friday, pull into the venue with your hazard lights on and wait for staff instructions.

Camping spaces are not assigned, and you’re welcome to camp almost anywhere within the paddock and grounds of Gainesville Raceway. Water, power and sewer hook-ups are not available.

Each camping pass covers sleeping in one trailer, one RV OR one car with up to two tents. Buy passes on the registration form. You don’t need a camping pass for additional vehicles you’re not sleeping in.

Camping fees cover the cost of track security required to keep the property open overnight. Track security cannot sell camping passes on-site—if you’re found camping without a pass, you’ll be immediately ejected from the facility. Personal items and vehicles may be reclaimed after awards on Sunday afternoon.
